Clean Water Climb 2018! I am Zachary Azra and this is my first ever Clean Water Climb. I am excited for the adventure, but even more excited for what the money we are raising can do to help so many people around the world who don’t have daily access to clean water.
A little about myself. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 with a degree in Industrial Distribution Engineering which apply now as a regional sales manager for Atlas Copco Compressors. Shortly after graduation I moved back to Houston where I met a great group of friends that introduced me to charities like Clean Water and all the good that they are doing for so many people. In 2016 I was lucky enough to join a group to drill a water well for a community in need in El Salvador. That week was an experience that I will never forget. To see a community’s struggle without water, something that we take for granted every day, made me see how important this cause is. The emotion and love the community gave us will stay with me forever. It was this experience that made it an easy decision to say yes to the clear water climb without reservation. Evan though I have never done a climb like this in my life and didn’t really know what I was getting into, so reality has set in a little. We have a great group a few experienced veterans, so I am hoping they will pull me through. I am excited for the adventure and everything that the money we raise can do.
I am excited and cannot wait to embark on this adventure. I encourage everyone to learn more about Clean Water and their mission. Your support is greatly appreciated whether it be financially or through your thoughts and prayers.
