Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia in a strong Christian family, and accepting Christ as my Savior at the “ripe old age of 6” gave me a great beginning. I made my first international mission trip at age 17, and since that time have traveled to 32 countries on 5 continents sharing the love of God through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. My passion is to share Christ internationally, whether in my current home of Houston, Texas, the “melting pot” of the United States, or outside of the United States, which I have done more than 60 times in my lifetime. As a Youth Pastor for many years I led teams on international mission trips and have traveled on my own, as well. God has been so faithful!
After attending a language school for nine months to study Spanish, I have been blessed to use my ability as a bilingual receptionist for Tomball Independent School District, as well as in ministry around the world. It has truly been a treat for me to share God’s love many times in Spanish in Mexico, Central America, Spain, and in South America. Now the opportunity has opened up for me to travel to Africa, and I couldn’t be more excited! I know that clean water is essential for life and for a healthy body. There is a great need to supply clean water on the continent of Africa by repairing current broken water wells and digging new ones. I am looking forward to being part of this endeavor with Child Legacy’s Clean Water Climb to Malawi, Africa. Seeing the joy on the faces of the children and adults as wells are repaired will be something I will never forget. And sharing the Gospel message in the villages with those who have never heard will be so rewarding. I am praying that many will surrender their hearts to Christ.
I am asking that you pray and ask God if He would want you to support my goal for this mission project. I know this will be a life changing trip for me, the rest of the team and for the people of Malawi. May God bless us as we continue to hear God’s voice and obey!
