I am excited to be going with Church Project for our first mission trip to Child Legacy International in Malawi, Africa! Child Legacy International Inc is a Christian, non-profit organization whose mission is to build sustainable communities in Africa, where hope thrives, and legacies of opportunity are created breaking the generational cycle of poverty. Guided by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, their vision is to provide a future of opportunity for the people of Africa by providing access to clean water, proper medical care, education, and training.
Since retiring in 2014, I have spent many hours volunteering for different ministries. I enjoy volunteering for some local ministries, such as Mercy House, Hope Beyond Bridges and I visit with some of the residents at Regent Care. I also serve with Project Kids at church and have helped with Kid’s Week. I am serving as a church relations volunteer with Operation Christmas Child.
I have been on previous mission trips to Honduras and Haiti and I have seen the poverty in those areas, and this is another opportunity for me to see for myself the help and care that these people so desperately need. Our team is going during July to repair water wells and to share the Gospel. My goal is to raise $1250 for one water well repair. I ask that you pray about supporting my fundraising effort. Any size donation would help. I also ask that you pray for my safety and that God would speak to me while on this trip. Thank you for your support!
