Thanks for taking a moment to glance at this site.

It’s no secret I’m quick to say yes to adventures, and even more so when they enable me to be part of supporting beliefs with action. I’ve gotten to see firsthand how communities can be sustainably transformed when the individuals in a community are empowered to be part of their restoration. Which is exactly what Children Legacy International’s is doing in Malawi and why I’m quite excited to join this team in raising awareness and support to repair water wells, and provide opportunities to break cycles of poverty.

Child Legacy International’s well sites employee over 200 people from the surrounding areas in addition to providing thousands of Malawians with access to high-quality healthcare, agricultural services, education, marketable skills development, and affordable vegetable, fish, and dairy products.

In Malawi, despite rich water reserves beneath the earth’s surface, many rural villages have unusable well pumps, preventing over 2.4 million people from having access to safe water, and over 5,300 children are dying every year from water-borne illness and disease alone. Repairing wells alone ensures decreased mortality rates and allows women and girls— who spend the majority of their days hauling water long distances — the chance to manage their households, attend school, or engage in income generating work.

During my first two years of working, the opportunity to personally support causes I care about has been one of the most fun aspects of having a salary. So I’m excited to share an opportunity to multiply the value and life that your money can create. And of course, any donated funds will go directly to Child Legacy International. Climbing a 14,000 ft mountain is simply a fun metaphor for the difficult yet achievable mission to transform Malawi. As well as an opportunity to deepen my faith by relying on more than my own strength and resources to achieve a goal.
