Hey folks,

For the past 6 years, I’ve worked as a Physician Assistant. I was first drawn to medicine because of one simple idea; I wanted to help those that were sick or hurting. Unfortunately, with all the stressors that come from a day to day job, I can often lose sight of this motivation. Within the last few years, I have become much more aware of the pain and hardships that are placed on families and communities that do not have access to clean water. And just like my passion for medicine, I want to help.

I’m thrilled to be to be partnering with Child Legacy International (CLI) this summer as I join the Clean Water Climb at Mount of the Holy Cross. While I love any reason to spend time in Colorado during the summer months, I am particularly excited to be taking on a challenge for an organization that is striving to save and transform lives. There are 2.4 million people in the country of Malawi that do not have access to clean water and this can result in roughly 5,300 children dying from water-borne illness every year. Through organizations like CLI, there is a solution to this problem and I want to do what I can to help. Climbing a 14,000 ft. mountain is a reminder of the enormity of the water problem in Malawi but that there is an attainable solution for this problem.

My hope is that you will consider partnering with us by donating funds to benefit CLI. All of your donation will go towards building new or repairing established wells in Malawi. I also ask for your support through prayer for both the communities in Malawi and our group preparing for the climb. Thanks to all for taking a brief moment to learn more about our mission.
