I was out on a hike recently and it was hot outside. Looking around the dry desert, you could tell how important water is. I conveniently opened my backpack and pulled out a 32oz water bottle and immediately satisfied my thirst, not paying attention to the amount sloshing out and going to waste. When I noticed this, it really hit me as I thought about the people of Malawi and how they don’t have access to clean water sources. I also thought about when Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” This moment has given me a new thirst to try and help those in need – not only for the physical water needed for day-to-day life, but to help people find the eternal living water in Jesus Christ.
A $10 dollar donation will provide enough water for 16 people for 5-10 years – will you consider a donation to help provide clean water for the people of Malawi?
