Hello! My name is Andrew Volz. With my father being a pastor, I grew up all over. This has lead me to have a love-hate relationship with moving, but throughout the years I gained a love of meeting and ministering to new people! My first mission trip was to Costa Rica for a special needs ministry, my life was immediately changed forever. I was hooked. Seeing the world was incredible, but the joy I received for not only bringing people to Christ but also filling physical and emotional needs was indescribable. I have two reasons for wanting to go on this trip. First, I whole heartedly believe that no person should struggle to obtain a drink of water! It is the life blood of our bodies here on earth and is essential to survive. I want to help in the fight for drinking water for all. It just so happens I can by doing something adventurous, such as climbing Kilimanjaro! Which brings me to my second reason. I admit it is a bit selfish, but I love to adventure, and Kilimanjaro offers me a once in a life time opportunity to grow and challenge myself. I want to summit the highest mountain in Africa! It has always been a dream and to be able to do so while bringing water to those in need in Africa and spreading God’s Word is an opportunity I simply could never pass up on. A big thanks to Child Legacy for the opportunity to serve in this way.
