These last two years I’ve gotten to witness some of my friends as they have climbed with Clean Water Climb and supported Child Legacy International. I have loved seeing their heart for getting clean water to Malawi, Africa. While getting to watch them support Child Legacy International, my own heart grew for clean water as well. I spent time in Nicaragua drilling a water well and time in Haiti at an orphanage where I learned more about how hard it can be to access clean water.
This year I get the chance to support Child Legacy by joining my friends on Clean Water Climb. We are hiking Mount Massive in Colorado to represent the hardship that many individuals in Malawi go through just to have access to clean water. I ask you to join me on this journey both financially and prayerfully. Child Legacy is creating an immense impact across Malawi by drilling and repairing water wells to provide safe drinking water. A well repair costs $1,250 to complete and will bring clean water to over 2,100 people. I am fundraising $2,500 to build two new water wells in Malawi. All money raised will go directly to Child Legacy International – CWC Malawi (which has an awesome rating on Charity Navigator that you can see here).
I am incredibly proud to be a part of this team and can’t wait do this climb. Matthew 10:42 says “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”
