My name is Garrett Purcell. I’m blessed to be able to participate and be a part of the 2022 Everest Base Camp Clean Water Climb in support of Child Legacy International.
Some information about me and why I chose to climb… I’m an avid hiker and lover of the outdoors. Traveling is something I hold dear to my heart – so much so that I have chosen the full time RV life. I am originally from Spring, Texas, however a small farm in Nacogdoches is where I now call home base. Being able to donate myself and my time to help those in need gives me no better feeling in the world.
I first became introduced to Child Legacy through another climber named David Klein. This is a “bucket list” type trip and there was no way I could say no. This will be my first year to join – but most likely not my last.
I will be paying for all my own expenses going into the trip and all donations will go strictly to providing drinking water to the people of Malawi who are in need.
My goal is to raise $7500 which will provide clean drinking water to six different villages.
Thank you to all for your support.
